"Today marks the First Birthday for our beloved Barkley "Owen". It has been quite a year watching him grow and learn. Every day that goes by he seems to mature and learn. He is the Best!"

Just a quick update to let you know that all of the pups have gone to their new homes, so we currently have none available for adoption.
We will update you here and via our facebook page when we have any news to share.
Looking for your own little beagle pup? Unfortunately we have nothing yet to announce, but our daughter and her family have a litter available for adoption. We may be a bit biased but we highly recommend their pups 😊 (at least when we don't have any for you 😏.)

"It’s with a heavy heart we have to tell you that our Gus passed away on July 16. It’s been so hard on our family and we are still struggling with him gone. It felt so unexpected and it just feels like we should have had more time with him, but he was the best dog while we did have him. He was apart of the “M” liter born on 8/4/15. He was the best dog and brought our family so much joy."

Side note from Dean & Tena: You may recall Archie from his stint at the Grove, as he was featured on a magnet we stuck to our vehicle way back in the day when we met up for puppy pickups (and owned a landline, lol). His memory continues to reside in our storage area, bringing a smile to our faces day after day.
Happy July 4th!
Maggie (Tess) wanted to say hello and let you know she is doing great since she left Lonesome Grove. She briefly donned a festive hat for this letter, but as is her habit, she quickly turned it into her favorite toy of the minute.
She has been working hard on her skills. Her intelligence is clear with her already mastering sit, lay down, shake, hi five, stay, come here, ring the bell to go outside, and going up/down the steps. The vet was very impressed with how much she knows at this young age. One of her favorite activities is picking daisy flowers from her mom’s garden. She also really enjoys digging in her sandbox to find buried bones and toys.
Maggie is especially good at bringing joy to people. We are so thankful we found Lonesome Grove and were able to adopt this wonderful Beagle.
Sincerely,
Carol and Angie
"We just wanted to update you on Willow (formerly Allie) and Harper. The moment we brought Harper home, they were bonded and now, if one goes outside, the other howls until the sister returns. They play together, sleep together, and get into mischief together. They are truly a joyful addition to our family.
"In what turned out to be our final walk together on Thursday, Lilly and I were greeted by the most gorgeous, vibrant double rainbow that I had ever seen in my life. She turned around to sniff some flowers, I followed her gaze, and BAM there it was, brilliant and beckoning, and I recall feeling in my gut at that very moment that it was a sign. A reminder of the Bridge and the sweet relief and joy that awaits good boys and girls when their journeys on earth are coming to an end. My awesome girl has been facing a growing mass in her lung for the last two months, and though she has consistently been her sweet self throughout her illness, in the past few days, especially that day (and rough overnight) I knew she was tired. The best girl in the world was ready to join her Grandpa where she would be welcomed with open arms, free from the coughing, labored breathing and pain; she was ready to frolic with her sisters and others who traveled to the bridge before her. I was NOT ready to let her go. And I agonized over the impossible decision. But I had been lucky enough to spend these last two months loving on and spending as much time with her as I could: on the walks that she ADORED (and would perk her up no matter how she was feeling), on the deck in the sunshine (she was my outdoor-loving girl from the very beginning on the day we brought her home at only nine weeks old), and with her wrapped in my arms while I rubbed her soft, silky, floppy ears that have always been my absolute favorite... I knew it was time. My girl is at peace. My heart, however, is shattered. My Lilly girl, I'll miss you forever."
"Kal-El a.k.a Garrett is now one!!!! Thank you so much for this sweet boy! He has been an amazing addition to our family!"

"Otis (formerly Nate), has found his groove. He enjoys playing with his brother (Enzo), finally learning to share the dog beds!! He enjoys going for car rides and walks. He also enjoys laying across my legs to watch tv/nap. He has come to find his favorite place in the house on the front porch where he can see everything and lay in the sun."

Oliver was part of the “O” litter (yes we kept his given name) born on May 24, 2010 to Bailey and Alex. He was our stubborn beagle boy, but he was gentle, loyal and a huge part of our family. He loved his life and we will forever miss and love our handsome boy. We just wanted to thank you for letting Oliver be ours.

We are supposed to be preparing for Champ’s 10th birthday today. His
birthday cookie was ready. His presents were ready. Yet we don’t get to
celebrate with him. Champ was perfectly fine until he woke both Justin
and I up in the middle of the night and then showed us he wasn’t ok.
After hours at the vet ER it was determined that he had cancer mass on
his liver that ruptured and was internally bleeding. Something we
couldn’t fix to make him stay with us longer. Champ started with Justin
and I and we both sat with him as we said goodbye to him.
So many people knew Champ with mainly remembering his shenanigans. But
what I remember most is him growing up with me… from the support he gave
me while Justin was away on his first deployment for a half a year, to
getting married, to when we moved to our forever home, to welcoming two
little sisters, to then making many memories as a family. He’s been
there with me through all the highs in my life and all the lows. He laid
by me at night while I cried myself to sleep and he knew when I needed
his comfort. Little does he know that he saved me. Justin always said
that even though people were at the house, if I wasn’t there he was
waiting for me. I was his person and he was my forever dog. It’s
honestly not fair and I wanted more time with him but I’m trying to
trust God’s plan. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
And thank you for bringing him into our lives. We are forever grateful.
He was the dog we needed in our lives. He was the sweetest dog, but
found himself getting into some trouble whether it was ripping up
blankets and stuffed animals to opening all the Christmas presents. We
even had to put our presents in a closed tote because he would find
them, get excited and open them. He loved presents. He loved to lounge
on the couch but also chase bunnies and was always out and about with
that nose of his. He was the best dog. Thanks again for bringing him
into our lives.
Champ, I loved you for your whole life and will miss you for the rest of mine.
