Dear Lonesome Grove ...

We are supposed to be preparing for Champ’s 10th birthday today. His birthday cookie was ready. His presents were ready. Yet we don’t get to celebrate with him. Champ was perfectly fine until he woke both Justin and I up in the middle of the night and then showed us he wasn’t ok. After hours at the vet ER it was determined that he had cancer mass on his liver that ruptured and was internally bleeding. Something we couldn’t fix to make him stay with us longer. Champ started with Justin and I and we both sat with him as we said goodbye to him.

So many people knew Champ with mainly remembering his shenanigans. But what I remember most is him growing up with me… from the support he gave me while Justin was away on his first deployment for a half a year, to getting married, to when we moved to our forever home, to welcoming two little sisters, to then making many memories as a family. He’s been there with me through all the highs in my life and all the lows. He laid by me at night while I cried myself to sleep and he knew when I needed his comfort. Little does he know that he saved me. Justin always said that even though people were at the house, if I wasn’t there he was waiting for me. I was his person and he was my forever dog. It’s honestly not fair and I wanted more time with him but I’m trying to trust God’s plan. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. And thank you for bringing him into our lives. We are forever grateful. He was the dog we needed in our lives. He was the sweetest dog, but found himself getting into some trouble whether it was ripping up blankets and stuffed animals to opening all the Christmas presents. We even had to put our presents in a closed tote because he would find them, get excited and open them. He loved presents. He loved to lounge on the couch but also chase bunnies and was always out and about with that nose of his. He was the best dog. Thanks again for bringing him into our lives.

Champ, I loved you for your whole life and will miss you for the rest of mine.

Dear Lonesome Grove ...

Mason is fitting right in! I think we are sticking with the name as well. He reminds us so much of our Kobe, who we miss every day. Thank you so much again for every thing! I’m so glad this all worked out. Hope all is well, and Happy Holidays!

Dear Lonesome Grove ...

Matilda, now named Layla is fitting right in here at the ranch! She is full of energy and fun and is not a bit scared of cows.

Our Aussie, Trixie, already came to accept her, as did my dad's dog. So now morning chores are quite lively with the 3 dogs in a side-by-side!

Just wanted you to know how much we love this pup!

Dear Lonesome Grove ...

"Our handsome man Kobe sadly passed away last night, peacefully at home. He was diagnosed with lymphoma in September. We are grateful for the time that we had with him, and glad we were able to have him here for his 12th birthday, on 10/31. We are heartbroken, and miss him so much already. He was the best pup we could’ve ever asked for. While we have our other beagle Kenzie, who is 3, the house still feels so empty, and she lost her buddy. We couldn’t be more grateful for Lonesome Grove Beagles for giving us the best companion for 12 years. He was with us through it all. We will cherish the memories forever."

Love,

The M Litter!

The M litter is here!

The father of  these little guys is Jameson, our smallest male. He comes from Evergreen Hill Beagles. His mother is a descendant of Lonesome Grove. He goes back to Scout and Shooter, treasured ancestors in our line. He goes back to show lines on his father's side. Jameson is quiet and easy going. His puppies have been beautiful and sweet-- tending to be more mellow than the average beagle puppy.

The mother of this litter is Abby, daughter of Tess and Finley. She is young, sweet, and one of our smallest moms. Abby has the gentle nature of her mother and the quintessential Beagle "merriness" (and the mischieviousness that goes along with it) from her amazing father, Finley (imported from Romania with an outstanding show dog pedigree).

All of these babies are sure to be sweet and beautiful. They will likely be a little "finer-boned" and a little smaller than our average, but still in the 15" Beagle category.  The "M" litter will be old enough to leave on November 15th.

Dear Lonesome Grove ...

I just wanted to let you know that Finley Jr (aka Gus) is the bestest fur baby ever!!! He is so stinking cute and such a cuddler! He obsessed with treats, playing with his sister, Athena, going for long walks, and snuggling. My life is literally complete with this little guy and I’m so very grateful to be a part of his life ❤️

Thank you so very much!!

Dear Lonesome Grove ...

"I wanted to let you know that we reached Minot late last evening and Harper is settling in just fine. Once we got them out of the car and into the house, Willow and Harper began to play together. Willow loves Harper now and looks for her everywhere in the house. They're right now sleeping together on the couch.

Thanks again for taking such good care of both Willow and Harper. They're amazing and we love them so much."

Dear Lonesome Grove ...

"Sharing a few photos of Dakota (now Arwen) and Dodge (now Bilbo) as they are growing quickly and have adjusted very well to our home! While you would think two puppies are a handful, it’s actually easier to train two at a time! They are so much fun and such happy puppies!

Love these two new members of our family! Thank you Lonesome Grove!!!"
